24-Hour Grand Opening for the Mint Museum Uptown

When: Oct. 1-2, 5:30 p.m. 2010
Price: $10; Free for members on Friday; Free for general public on Saturday
The grand opening festivities kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5 p.m., followed by a variety of activities for all ages during the next 24 hours. Activities include First Look Friday, tours of the new facility, a dance party sponsored by Takeover Friday, films, sunrise yoga, hands-on art activities and artist demonstrations.
