60 Years and Floating

Thursday, November 22

Here comes the holiday season. Time for feasting, rejoicing and standing outside in the cold to watch scantily-clad beings parade down the street. Happy, happy, joy, joy. The 60th Annual Carolinas Thanksgiving Day Parade will take you back to your childhood. Well, only if during your formative years, you were forced to grin and bear the elements all for the sake of "family time." Be on hand to watch the crowning of this year's Carousel Queen and the grand entrance of that big guy in red. Former Panther Mike Minter serves as Grand Marshal with back-up from Honorary Grand Marshal, George Ivey. Cheer up, it'll be Christmas before you know it and that's when the shit really hits the fan. 1 p.m. Begins at Tryon at 9th, turns left onto 3rd and ends between Davidson and McDowell on 3rd. 704-525-0250.
