Creative Loafing food critic Tricia Childress at the first bite. The beauty of his unassuming Heritage Food and Drink rests not solely with the inventive daily menu that highlights local farmers’ produce; but also, that it is the kind of place where you can kick back and enjoy both his well-crafted dishes and company. Since the menu is seasonal, the foods will continue to delight. We look forward to Verica’s spin on local native foods like Appalachian apples, October beans and sweet potatoes this fall.
