Want to win time in the spotlight on stage at Creative Loafing's Best Of Charlotte 2011 party?
Are you an amateur comedian or just think you’re funny and want to showcase your talents? If so, submit your original video to CLCLT.com for a chance to win your big chance on The Comedy Zone stage and tickets for you and 3 guests to attend the party. Creative Loafing’s Best Of Charlotte party will be at The Comedy Zone in the NC Music Factory Wednesday, August 17th at 6pm.
How to enter:
Upload your video. Follow the instructions below. Creative Loafing is accepting video submissions beginning Tuesday, July 5, 2011 through Friday, July 22, 2011 at midnight. Each comedian can submit one video.
Creative Loafing staff will select the top 5 funniest videos as finalists, and CLCLT.com readers will then vote for their favorites. The top 5 chosen will get 3 minutes of standup comedy time at The Comedy Zone during the Creative Loafing Best Of Charlotte 2011 party, tickets for you and 3 guests to attend the party. The audience will chose the Grand Prize WINNER live on stage at the party on August 17th. The best comedian will win an MC position for a future celebrity show at The Comedy Zone!
Here’s what we’re looking for:
* Video clips of your amateur stand up routine.
* Keep it short – no more than 3 minutes MAX.
Here's how to do it:
Upload your comedy file to YOUTUBE.com and send the link to comedycontest@creativeloafing.com.
Creative Loafing staff will review your clip and announce the top five on Wednesday, July 27th at noon.

Fine Print:
Official Rules: No purchase necessary. To receive this prize, you must be 21 years of age or older. Contest ends on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. 5 finalists will be chosen from entries received. The finalists will be notified via e-mail or phone by Thursday, August 4, 2011 at noon (EST).
By submitting your video(s) to Creative Loafing, you agree that such videos(s) and the accompanying information will become the property of Creative Loafing and you grant Creative Loafing and their sublicensees permission to publicly display, reproduce, and use the videos in any form or media for any and all editorial and related promotional purposes. You also warrant that (i) the video is your original work, or is properly licensed, and does not violate the copyright or any other personal or property right of any third party, and (ii) you have obtained any and all releases and permissions necessary for our intended use. Your submission also allows Creative Loafing to edit, crop, or adjust the colors of the image(s) on an as needed basis.
By participating in the contest, you agree to waive any claim that you may have against Creative Loafing for any losses, costs, injuries, or other damages that you may incur in obtaining videos to enter in the contest, and you agree to indemnify Creative Loafing against any claims that may be brought by a third party as a result of your photography.
