Re: “Shonen Knife stays sharp after decades of rock

I saw the Knife at DC's Rock 'n Roll Hotel a few years back. It was a great show with insanely stoked fans, and afterward the girls took time to sign autographs and patiently posed for pics with fans, myself included. They were really sweet.

Great article ! Drummer Risa's family band is named Brinky, though.

Re: “The clock keeps ticking for Time Sawyer

Ouch! These guys are clearly not trying to be the next Avett's. The writer was simply drawing a parallel to them by depicting a local connection, as well as Time Sawyer's plight as young, very talented musicians. Get over it and broaden your horizons a little!

Re: “The clock keeps ticking for Time Sawyer

No, they could not be the next Avett Brothers. Please post more articles of original bands that don't strive to be exactly like another band, that would be great.

Re: “The clock keeps ticking for Time Sawyer

We're so happy to see Time Sawyer's growth but will miss them at the Muse. One correction - "In June, Time Sawyer played Triple C Brewing Co. and the brewery created a special beer, dubbed "Time Hop IPA," for the band." While Triple C did create a special (delicious) brew for the band, this special The Time Sawyer Soiree was also held at The Evening Muse.

Re: “Prime country in Charlotte

I think the article was well written, but Saddle Brown, the Queen City 2013 and 2014 Male Country artist of the year was not even spoken about. I believe that creative loafing need to do an article about him.

Re: “Prime country in Charlotte

I know that Randy is from the area - born east of here in Marshville. His success came later, after he had moved to Nashville. I'm looking for someone who stays here and doesn't feel the need to leave town to make their mark.

Re: “Prime country in Charlotte

I wouldn't say we have never nurtured a country artist from their humble beginnings...Randy Travis? He started here. Country City USA off Wilkinson. 1975. Kind of a huge star to lose sight of in your research for this article. :/

Re: “'Weird Al' hasn't run out of ideas

You know, Al sings Fat in the Fat suit, and Eat It in the Micheal Jackson-red jacket. You mixed that up!--Good article, though.
