You also should interview and give credit to Joel Segal. His work with the NC Climate Solutions Coalition--which has brought so many environmental groups into weekly dialogue--laid the groundwork for the stakeholder collaboration. These groups have been working on this for over a year, and they brought this resolution forward when Patsy Kinsey chaired the Environment Committee and when I was Mayor. The diversity of these stakeholder groups, and their great coordination, is largely due to the energy, persistence, and organizational skills of Joel Segal. And this collaboration will extend far beyond the city's resolution.
