This is the only landmark in the area where I live, it's bad enough we only have one example of life in this area before electricity.....it's even worse that it's on the chopping block. And, not for nothing, that developer has owned that place for a long time and hasn't put one dime into keeping it up. If he's all for saving the house, he had a funny way of going about it!
And you know its "downtown," not "uptown," right John? You have to have a "downtown" before you can have an "uptown." Just because the south Charlotte snobs have to drive up a hill to get to work doesn't change the fact that you have to have the former, before you can have the latter. I mean, that's how all "world class" cities are set up so you would think the Charlotte booster patrol would be cognizant of that fact. Then again . . . it is Charlotte!
