I have to second Crystal's objection. I am in support of gay marriage and equal rights for LGBT people, but this article in no way helps the cause, but rather hinders it. The writer (I use the term loosely) has taken a small portion of a quote and used it irresponsibly and recklessly, the same tactic I've seen the 'scary, country hick's use in defense of their stance. I'm disappointed this article passed as-is. Really, both writer and editor should know better than to pass this off as a well-developed argument.
