NiceYeah,I was a TVC as well back in 2014 - 2015 (when I'd had enough and quit). I was hired for two reasons - I was told. One wad my background in construction, the other because of being able to push back with the contractor.
My first real input regarding processes was scoffed at. The second time I had something to say I had my workload doubled.
Everyone was really cliquish and I felt like I was left out a lot because I was older than most of them - like old enough to have babysat them.
Granted, I quit going to the cafeteria after a while because I didn't feel like it was necessary to continue working while trying to eat. I think that's pretty much why they provide meals and unlimited snacks (not to mention weekly happy hours)- they wanted everybody to work all the time.
It didn't help that the company actually paying mere had zero backbone when dealing with issues like this with the Google people and tried to blame me for the issues I was having.
So, to the other commenter, here is a third person from another location (Austin) that had issues.
