All the Time in the World

When: Jan. 25-March 23 2013
Price: Free admission
Just a little while after reading the title for McColl Center for Visual Arts' upcoming exhibit, I started humming "Change of Time" by Josh Ritter. Of course, the exhibit has nothing to do with Mr. Ritter or whatever tune is stuck in my head at the moment, but it does have to do with time. All the Time in the World explores the ways we express specific notions of time. Two artists — including Gail Wight, an artist who dabbles with science, and Mary Tsiongas, who often probes into the impact humans have on nature — have created a mix of video, mixed media and installations that, as McColl's press info explains, "explore the subjective nature of time and show how an understanding of science can influence the practice of contemporary art." The exhibit, curated by Arif Kahn, opens with a reception on Feb 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
