Army of Darkness

When: Wed., Nov. 28, 7:30 p.m. 2012
Price: Free admission
The final film in Sam Raimi's blood-gushing Evil Dead trilogy, 1992's Army of Darkness screens during Professor Bury's Creature Feature at the Chop Shop this week. The gory horror flick with a rabid cult following stars Bruce Campbell as the heroic Ash. Forcefully whisked back to medieval times, Ash must get his hands on the Necronomicon, a book that has the power to combat supernatural evil — and also allow him to return home. But before zipping back to his modern-day job at the S-Mart, he must also battle an army of animated skeletons and save the lovely Shelia (Embeth Jean Davidtz). (Incidentally, Campbell will be one of the celebrities on hand at next year's second annual Mad Monster Party, March 23. As Ash himself would say, "Groovy!")
