"That which we call an orchid by any other name would smell as sweet." C'mon, we all know Shakespeare was talking about a rose, not an orchid. Tell that to the folks at DSBG who are unveiling its Orchid Conservatory in honor of the lovely flower. As a tie-in, Art at the Garden 2008 will center on, you guessed it, orchids. Artists, photographers, and experts alike will pay homage with paintings on silk, photographs, watercolor, and the real thing. Exhibit runs through March 18. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, 6500 S. New Hope Road, Belmont, N.C. 704-825-4490. www.dsbg.org.
