Ask the Editor

Fake questions. Real answers.

Q: Looks like you guys changed up the Fallout section of the paper. What's up with that?

A: Before I answer this week's fake question, I'd like to say thanks to everyone who e-mailed me the names of their favorite restaurant (in response to a question I asked a few weeks back). You guys alerted me to a bunch of cool eateries -- many of which are new to me. I'll be sure to check 'em out.

OK, now on to the new fakeness: Yeah, we changed the Fallout section. Actually, we killed Fallout and then renamed it News & Views. The new name reflects a new direction in the section -- with new features such as civic event listings -- and it's helmed by recently appointed News Editor Karen Shugart. I'd suggest checking it out every week and see what she's got cooking. And while you're at it, check out up-to-the-minute news, culture and commentary on our massive blog The CLog (www.theclogblog.com).

Plus, when speaking on the subject of redesigns, check out the newest incarnation of The Scene. In case you've never seen it, The Scene is Creative Loafing's photographic look at the week's best local events. Well, starting next issue, we've handed The Scene over to the funky photographer known only as Jasiatic. Beyond just shooting plain snapshots, she'll be offering a uniquely artistic and offbeat take on happenings in the Queen City. It will definitely be something worth seeing every damn week. Stay tuned.
