Amazingly, in this era of wild-eyed Wall Street speculation and shafting the poor and unemployed, there are actually rich folk — even in Banktown! — who don’t have their hands out pleading for a bailout. When the Symphony needs a quick infusion of cash, who you gonna call? Not whining BofA or drowning Wachovia, that’s for sure. No, it’s Sandra and Leon Levine to the rescue. Poetic justice, then, that the Wells Fargo Cultural Campus will be renamed the Levine Center for the Arts.
