Yes, Earth Fare’s a chain, but it’s kinda local, since it originated in Asheville. We especially go for its raw milk cheeses and flours. It also has a good organic wine and beer selection.
The Home Economist (three locations) is headquartered in Charlotte and offers the amazing Amish Select chicken, which is free range and free of hormones.
