People are hurting, and no one knows it more — or does more about it — than Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. The Food Bank runs a regional distribution warehouse and branches that supply food and grocery items to over 600 agencies in 14 North Carolina counties, plus five counties in South Carolina — over 20 million pounds of goods per year.Locally, groups like Urban Ministries, Loaves and Fishes, Florence Crittendon, Friendship Trays and others couldn’t do their good work without SHFBM. Consider this a big thank you from caring citizens in Charlotte.
