You may remember him as the kooky FOX weatherman who dressed up like a snowflake or flower to give a more animated version of the forecast. His weather reports were more like stand-up comedy routines. But like many media celebrities, Mathis had a stint in rehab. Now he’s sober and hosting FOX Morning Rising, and he saves his stand-up for Aces InZone, Pineville Dinner Theater and Comedy Zone. He made his local comeback a few months ago, and he’s already producing It’s A Wonderful Life in Halton Theater. As he graciously stated to CL, “It’s my way of saying thank you to Charlotte for welcoming me back.”
