Bizarre crimes from Charlotte police files

The Blotter

WHERE'S THE LOVE: A 40-year-old woman said her husband, who no longer lives with her, called her numerous times in the span of three hours to harass and threaten her. She reported that her husband had threatened her before, but she thinks he might follow through with his new threats because he has more animosity towards her. A few hours after making her first report, the woman called police again to say that her husband was still harassing her. She said he called her and said, "I'm going to keep calling you and antagonizing you. Believe me, I have more things to carry out. I have four more weeks of house arrest, and I have more things to come your way for you and your family."

ATTACK OF THE EX: A 30-year-old man said his ex-girlfriend went totally psycho on him. She was upset because she wanted to talk to him, and he wouldn't let her into his home. So she tried to kick the door in. When he finally opened the door to get her to stop she sprayed him in the face with mace.

HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU: A 31-year-old man said his ex-girlfriend called him more than 200 times trying to rekindle their relationship. Although he didn't want anything to do with her, she continued to call. Frustrated, the woman called to say, "I'm going to have someone kick your ass."

WHEN CO-WORKERS ATTACK: A 46-year-old man and his co-worker were busy painting a house when, according to the man, his co-worker assaulted him. He said the assault happened when he asked his co-worker a simple question. His co-worker didn't like what the man asked and threw a ladder at him.

THREAT OF THE WEEK: A 25-year-old man said his former friend called him 250 times to threaten and harass him. He asked his friend to stop calling, but the calls continued. The last time his friend called he said, "I'm gonna tear up all your stuff. You better watch your back, somebody is gonna get you."
