Bizarre crimes from Charlotte police files

HOW NOT TO GET A DATE: A 27-year-old woman said a man she gave her phone number to has been calling and threatening her for the past several days. She said the man calls saying things like, "I know where you live and I'm going to f*** you up." He started making the threatening calls the day after she gave him her number. She has no idea why he's harassing her.

HE'S NOT THAT INTO YOU: A 20-year-old man said a woman he briefly dated has been harassing him. He said over the course of eight days the woman has called him 500 times. He has stopped answering her calls, but she continues to pursue him, letting the calls ring out every time. He said they only dated two weeks, and now he can't shake her ass.

WHY you don't TALK TO STRANGERS: A 45-year-old woman was sitting on her front porch when two young men approached her asking for the time. When she went inside her home to find out the time, the two men took her purse, which was sitting on the porch.

THREAT OF THE WEEK PT. 1: A 19-year-old woman said a female has called her cell phone at least 25 times to harass and annoy her. During one of the calls the woman threatened her by saying, "B****, I will kill you.... I know where you stay, don't make me come over there" and "I'm going to fight you and bust out your windows." She said she doesn't know who the woman is or why she is threatening her.

THREAT OF THE WEEK PT. 2: A 34-year-old woman said she's received 100 phone calls and text messages from a former male acquaintance. During the calls the man has threatened her by saying, "You might want to kiss your loved ones goodbye because it might be the last time. Next time see you, I will finish what he left off. I wish tragedy on your family you b****." The woman believes the man will carry out the threats and is very concerned for her life.

Blotter items are chosen from the files of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department.
