Border Matters and Fluid Identities: Dissident Latina/o American Narratives of the 21st Century Speaker, Oswaldo Estrada

The Center for Latino Studies invites you to a presentation on recent Latina/o American productions of novels, short stories and chronicles published over the last fifteen years in Latin America and in the United States. Dr. Estrada will analyze identity construction in hybrid zones, transculturation, otherness and the dark side of the "American Dream." His presentation will cover the works of Daniel Alarcón and Junot Díaz, Yuri Herrera, Maya Chinchilla and Daniel Sada, among other "border" writers of the 21st century.
