Busted Beer Bash & Alexandra Loesser Solo Exhibit

Enjoy happy hour this evening at Heist Brewery, where a $10 ticket gets you in for four pints of debut flagship beers (including Belgian Pale Ale, American Pale Ale, ESB & DZL) and a flight of the newest “Not So Small Batch” beers. The brewing team will be there to answer any questions, too. Stick around afterwards for the opening reception of artist Alexandra Loesser’s solo exhibit. Featuring an assortment of paintings and drawings, the bundle reflects Loesser’s love of the human body, animals and how the two relate. For example, her “White Rabbit” painting is a strikingly realistic portraiture of a nude woman holding a white rabbit. Both appear blank, dismal, frightened and uncomfortable, yet together they seem united. 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for Busted Beer Bash; 8 p.m. exhibit reception. (Anita Overcash)
