Coppelia, performed by the Charlotte Youth Ballet in collaborations with Balleteatro Nacional de Puerto Rico and the Mauro Ballet Company of Puerto Rico The delightful tale of Coppelia presents a budding romance between two young villagers, Franz and Swanilda, alongside the curious working of their eccentric neighbor Dr. Coppelius. Dr. Coppelius, a mad inventor has created a beautiful life-like doll. Infatuated at the sight of the inventor’s new doll, “Coppelia”, Frantz sneaks into Dr. Coppelius’ workshop and mayhem ensues!
