COMEDY: Norm MacDonald at McGlohon Theatre

Tuesday, Feb. 3

Impersonator and former fake-news anchor (1993-1997) for Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update," Canadian-bred Norm MacDonald, didn't give comedy up after he got fired from the show, but he did do other things. From co-writing to starring in popular television shows (like The Drew Carey Show, Family Guy, My Name Is Earl, The Fairly Odd Parents) to acting in films (like Dirty Work, Billy Madison, The People vs. Larry Flint and even lending his vocal chords in Dr. Doolittle and Christmas is Here Again), he's been busy. Check him out when he brings his own comedy show (presented by The Comedy Zone and Blumenthal Performing Arts Center) to McGlohon Theatre. Production rated R. $25. 7:30 p.m. McGlohon Theatre, 345 N. College St. 704-372-1000. www.blumenthalcenter.org.
