Continue the Dream

Tuesday, Jan. 15

This year marks the 79th anniversary of the birth of one of the greatest men in American history. And in befitting someone of his stature, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial and Wreath Laying Ceremony will again take place in his honor. Now, Charlotte is a city of young professionals who were not around or in diapers when he was alive. But, they have all experienced the impact of his beautiful message ... "I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.'" Although, today is not that day nor will tomorrow be. Rest assured, Dr. King, that one day, your dream will become reality. Noon. Marshall Park, 300 S. McDowell St.
