Coyotes of Mecklenburg County

When: Thu., Feb. 18, 7-8 p.m. 2016
Price: FREE
CROWN welcomes Chris Matthews, Division Director of Mecklenburg County Nature Preserves and Natural Resources. Chris has been researching our region's Coyote populations and their movement for years. They were first documented in North Carolina as early as 1985 and found in Mecklenburg County around 1995 and have been expanding ever since. In this program, we'll hear the results of this study, learn how and why they came here, what keeps them here, their preferred habitat, life cycle, as well as pet and people safety tips.
