DANCE: N.C. Dance Theatre's Director's Choice

Thursday, May 13

Leave it up to the director to make a sound choice, and that's what N.C. Dance Theatre's Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux did for its latest show, properly titled, Director's Choice. The performance -- sweeping through Knight Theater May 13 through May 15 -- gives prominence to three ballets, including George Balanchine's "Apollo," Mark Godden's "Constructing Juliet" and a premiere by Dwight Rhoden (a former member of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, whose choreography has been used in the TV show So You Think You Can Dance). For more information on N.C. Dance Theatre, visit $20-$74. 7:30 p.m. Knight Theater, 430 S. Tryon St. 704-372-1000.
