What would happen if you combined the goofiness of Spinal Tap with, say, a duo of lipstick-smudged electro-punk rockers? Not that you'd ever wonder such a thing, but the answer is here: Die Roten Punkte (or, translated from German: The Red Dots). In the show, two orphaned siblings (Otto, a straight-edge guitar grubbler, and Astrid, an alcohol-dependent yapper) from Berlin play a hilarious, krauty, Kraftwerk-style of music, mixing it with bickering and nonsense throughout. The performance is a spot-on spoof of serious German party music, made even funnier by their secret origins: Otto and Astrid Rot are actually played by performance artists from Australia, not Germany. Authentic or not, the group's upcoming stop in Charlotte on the Eurosmash Tour for their Kunst Rock (Arts Rock) album shouldn't be missed, as they'll be saying "Auf Wiedersehen!" soon enough.
