Donna Fargo to be inducted 

Singer Donna Fargo will be inducted into the Carolinas Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the July 16 meeting of the Rock and Roll Oldies Club of the Carolinas. The club meets on the third Thursday of each month at the American Legion, 1940 Donald Ross Road at 7 p.m.

Fargo will not be singing at the free event which is open to the public. She is a country music songwriter and singer who is best known for hits in the 1970s including "The Happiest Girl in the Whole USA" and "Funny Face."

The Rock and Roll Oldies Club of the Carolinas is a social organization committed to the support and preservation of music and artists of the '50s, '60s and '70s. More information can be found at www.rrocc.org.
