In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Levine Museum of the New South is offering free admission to its quarters, which are pumped full of exhibits that place a heavy emphasis on the history of rights, race and segregation in Charlotte and the South in general. There’s also a two-day celebration to remember King and his legacy. It’s slated to feature a variety of special performances, film screenings, speakers and more. (Anita Overcash)
