Supporters of football at UNC-Charlotte mean well, but starting up the program is simply too expensive, too distracting from the school’s growing academic profile, would bring an inordinate jump in student costs, and, in any case, wouldn’t produce a winning team for God-knows-how-many-years. Let this bad idea die, guys.
