Eric Lindell is on that long list of New Orleans-based musicians who combine elements of soul, rock and the blues for a Louisiana-fried concoction that sounds timeless and familiar. He’s often lumped together in the “blue-eyed soul” category with Van Morrison and Daryl Hall. Lindell takes a laid-back approach versus those singer/guitarists who are far more heavy handed in their playing. (Jeff Hahne)
