Exhibit: A Survey of Gallery Artists

When: July 9-Aug. 27 2011
Romare Bearden was born in Mecklenburg County but lived out most of his life in New York. Nevertheless, that doesn't stop Charlotteans from relishing the artist as one of their own - and with good reason. Bearden's paintings and collages are rich in color and quality. If you don't believe me, check out his pictured painting, "Marie's Garden." You can see this pretty piece, along with works by Christopher Clamp, Susan Grossman, Hans Hofmann, Wolf Kahn, Robert Motherwell, Brian Rutenberg, Richard Stenhouse and Esteban Vicente and others, during Jerald Melberg Gallery's latest group exhibit.
