EXHIBIT: Systems and Organisms

This exhibit features paintings (in watercolor and acrylic) by Pittsburgh-based artist Richard Babusci. Drawing inspiration from living organisms, he hopes to "expand upon the idea that the paintings are newly created 'things'" rather than just representations of existing forms.

Through March 27. Free admission. Gallery hours: Tuesday-Friday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. (open until 9 p.m. during gallery crawls); Saturday, 12 p.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, 12 p.m.-5 p.m. Green Rice Gallery, 451 E. 36th St. 704-344-0300. www.green-rice.com.
