EXHIBIT: Terrain

It's your last chance to check out Green Rice Gallery's Terrain exhibit before it comes to a close on Aug. 29. Featuring new art by Kate Vasseur, the exhibit celebrates nature with glimpses into the many overlooked forms and shapes (like faded tree lines) that make up its beauty. Patterns and textures also come alive through Vasseur's usage of wood grain panels.

Free. Tuesday-Friday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, 12 p.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday, 12 p.m.-4 p.m. (Open extended hours, from 7 p.m.-9 p.m., during gallery crawls on the first and third Friday of each month.) Green Rice Gallery, 451 E. 36th St. 704-344-0300. www.green-rice.com.
