EXHIBITION: Celebrating 25 Years and 25 Artists

Wednesday, Dec. 16

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Jerald Melberg Gallery with the Celebrating 25 Years and 25 Artists exhibition, which is filled with masterpieces by artists closely related to the gallery, including Thomas McNickle, Wolf Kahn, Romare Bearden, Dale Chihuly, James Rosati, Robert Motherwell, Raul Diez, and plenty more. The Jerald Melberg Gallery was the first to present a Pablo Picasso exhibition in North Carolina, and since then it's mounted major exhibitions for solo artists, while also loaning works of art to other museums and organizing travel exhibitions. Impressive enough? If you're interested in art, check out this display with a variety of pieces, as it continues through Feb. 28. Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Jerald Melberg Gallery, 625 Sharon Amity Rd. 704-365-3000. www.jeraldmelberg.com.
