FILM: 15 Short Film Festival

Sunday, Oct. 19

For those who can't sit and stay focused during a drawn-out film that lasts more than an hour, the 15 Short Film Festival is right up your alley. The event goes down on Oct. 19 at The Evening Muse. Attendees can watch films (short -- just 15 minutes long -- and they definitely won't make your butt hurt like The Lord of the Rings did), as the festival features shorts from 15 countries including one that was nominated for an Oscar and other award winning shorts from the Cannes, Slamdance, South By Southwest, Sundance and Tribeca Film Festivals. $7. 7 p.m. The Evening Muse, 3227 N. Davidson St. 704-376-3737. www.theeveningmuse.com.
