To complement its current exhibition School of Paris: European Abstraction Post World War II, Bechtler Museum of Art will screen the French-themed classic Breathless tonight. Written and directed by Jean-Luc Godard, this artsy flick — associated with Nouvelle Vague (the French New Wave movement) — shows shots of the streets of Paris, as captured by a hand-held camera. 6 p.m. Free for museum members; $4 for general public. Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, 420 S. Tryon St. 704-353-9200. www.bechtler.org.
