Film: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

When: Thu., Aug. 25, 8 p.m. 2011
Price: Free
The Light Factory and Levine Jewish Community Center of Charlotte have teamed up for the Attack of the Summer Film Series - screening films that Hollywood ought not to have remade. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp turned Willy Wonka fans duck out here, since 1971's Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is up next. The classic flick derived from author Roald Dahl's childrens book is screened in its original "scrumdidlyumptious" form - directed by Mel Stuart and starring Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka - on a big screen on the lawn. Bring your own blankets/chairs.
