Find Your Muse Open Mic featuring Anthony Wayne

When: Mon., June 25, 7 p.m. 2018
Price: $3
Having spent many years on the road as a solo artist and in support of many national acts, including The Record Company, Rusted Root, Alexi Murdoch, Big Head Todd and The Monsters, Soulhat, Col. Bruce Hampton, Drivin' N' Cryin', The Whigs and Filligar, Anthony Wayne has turned his heart on sleeve approach to more of a loud stomp revival. Showcasing his unorthodox lefty guitar style and poetic lyrics, Anthony Wayne is the real thing. Whether fronting alternative/indie band EARTH BY TRAIN or playing solo, nothing is fake or softened, What you see is what you get. Anthony Wayne started his career fronting several bands but soon realized he didn't share the same goals and quickly branched out into the solo field. Having spent time living on the streets of Nashville, TN and playing well over 150-200 shows a year for many years consecutive, has given Anthony Wayne plenty to talk about and reason to stomp them into your minds and hearts. Tales of heartbreak and despair. Stories filled with a self depricating mirror turned inward look are all evident on his debut album "Bury Who We Are". Begging the listener to look at themselves and begin their own self discoverey. Relocating to the hills of Virginia, starting his own record label (Small Niche Market Records) and building a studio, Anthony Wayne is hard at work. Finalizing his second solo release, while sequencing a live album "So Low: Alive On The Lower EastSide", recorded in various venues in New York, and working diligently on the Earth By Train debut, all to be released in early 2018. Anthony Wayne is all of us, a poet, an artist, a leader, a revolution, a myth and a wide open space of imagination; and if you venture to see him, make yourself known and bring your stompin' boots. Respect- Songwriter Anthony Wayne is set to release new stand alone single ahead of his second solo release. "In today's current climate, something as easy as just being kind, seemed fitting. I've always believed everything begins on the inside and being kind is a basic starting point that has been overlooked." The new single, entitled "BE KIND" is a fresh indie rocker, complete with driving bass and elements of psychedelic, hip hop and groove. All set to a lyrical flow that is reaching new heights and meaningful content unlike anything trending. A fresh perspective on a simple, yet wise lesson, just BE KIND. Listen to "BE KIND"
