Good Eatin'

Friday, October 19

Chef and king of Low Country Cuisine, Marvin Woods will be in town for the grand opening of his newest restaurant venture. Woods On South opens charitably tonight with an open bar and Wood's own "Carolina Cuisine," sure to feature a few of those drool-inspiring recipes that make his Turner South cooking show, Home Plate, such a hit. The restaurant is the result of a partnership with Carolina Beer Company of Mooresville and all the proceeds will benefit Operation Smile and Philips Academy. 7-10 p.m. $20. Historic Southend, 2100 South Blvd (formerly Southend Brewery).
