Everyone will have a chance to explore Gaston County's oldest home at the 27th open house. The homestead sits on land granted to German settler Peiter Hieyl in 1754. Guided house tours will begin at 10:00 AM and run until 3:00 PM. There will be booths with information and books about locallocal history and goods from local vendors including a handmade metal working shop. Food and drinks for sale.
