"I Got the Blues"

Wednesday, October 10

When singer/harmonica player John Popper formed Blues Traveler in 1988 the term "jam band" was still in its infancy. The quartet's blues-rock and marathon live shows helped earn them multi-platinum status by the mid 90s. They haven't had that level of sales prowess since that peak, but the band is still a live "jam" act to reckon with. The new disc Cover Yourself is slated for release at the end of this month. 9 p.m. $25. Visulite Theatre, 1615 Elizabeth Ave. 704-358-9200. www.visulite.com.
