Infamous Corrections

• In our Sept. 28 "Tour of Infamy" story, we said the 4808 Club, where the leader of the band GWAR was arrested in 1990, was at 4808 Central Ave. The club was initially located at that address, but by 1990, it was in its third and final location on 4th Street, near where the Gateway Center now stands.

• In that same story, we inadvertently gave the wrong date for the July 4th Outlaws Massacre. It took place in 1979, not 1970. And although news reports say the four male victims of the massacre were all members of the Outlaws motorcycle club, the man who found the bodies, former local Outlaws honcho William "Chains" Flamont, tells us one of them was a visitor and not a member.
