Jason Lee: Structured Environments

Multi-media sculptor and installation artist Jason Lee's Structured Environments exhibit takes his fascination for compartmentalized landscapes to another level. Viewers may feel he's put a psychedelic spin on the idea of a bird's eye view. His works utilize custom fabricated light boxes, extruded foam fences and plastic ducks as visualizations of "ideal" landscapes. Lee, an assistant professor of sculpture and foundations coordinator for West Virginia University's Division of Art and Design, describes these as being "reminiscent of futuristic interior design of the 1960s." Also on exhibit is photographer Angela Franks Wells' Copper Mine.
