Pearle Street Park and the dedication ceremony to Thereasa Elder. Pearle Street Park really symbolizes the period of "separate but equal" and reminds us that there once was a vibrant African-American counter community in this city and that full integration and acceptance has taken a little too long to achieve in the 'New South.'
