You've got soul
Great article and good education on soul food ("Soul patrol," Sept. 6). I have been to most of the restaurants mentioned in the article. My favorite is Angie's Diner that I also introduce to my New York City friends that come for a visit or are contemplating relocating to Charlotte.
Angie is like family and you helped keep a tradition alive in terms of real American cuisine. As a former New Yorker that has returned to his roots, Creative Loafing reminds me of the real Village Voice. Your creativity adds to the social dynamic of a Charlotte on the move. Thanks for keeping it real!
