"Inside the world of white supremacy," "Razor girl"

An Article for Awareness

Bravo on your article "Inside the World of White Supremacy" (Nov. 1)! As an African-American woman, I thought John Sugg's article was provocative and well-written! I laughed (Joseph and Carrie Frieda and their "wedding" -- which included their 6-year-old daughter. Proud of that Carrie?), I cried (poor Doug Hanks and his discovery of the "... cloaked lethal plans ..." -- does anyone have the Flux Capacitor?) and I stood up and applauded ("rock band" Definate Hate, Welcome To The South CD -- sure to be on next year's Grammy list). Really, though, I appreciated the honesty and reality.

The white supremacists in the article have proven what I have always been taught, they are not to be feared, only pitied. The only way they can feel like real men and women is to name-call and sneer. It further proves that ignorant, uneducated people will always resort to fear and violence to try to prove a point. John Suggs was fantastic in highlighting what happens when the school system fails and people are allowed to in-breed.

The white supremacists are not hurting anyone by yelling, sneering at 8-year-olds and prancing around on a stage! Unfortunately, while they were in S.C. playing dress-up, my kids were in ballet class, piano lessons and with their Spanish tutor! (Darn.) I will be sure to share this article with my children, ages 8 and 5, and save it for my 2-year-old son. This will encourage them to continue to exceed and excel in school and expand their minds so they don't end up living in a trailer park like these in-breds. Gosh, come to think of it, maybe my husband and I should find out when the next convention is so that we could set up a booth to sell them "sodey pop!" Or maybe they could just come to one of the six stores we own. Better yet, maybe one day, one of the little blond kids from the article will come to work for my little brown kids!

But honestly, what makes America great is that everyone is entitled to an opinion. I think everyone should really read this article so that they are aware that this is still happening! Even though all the people in all the photos looked like they had been guests on Jerry Springer at one time or another, this article is still a must-read!

Kudos CL and John Sugg on such an eye-opening article!

On the Other Hand

After reading this article ("Inside the Secret World of White Supremacy," Nov. 1), I would expect to turn on the evening news and see so-called "white supremacists" engaging in all sorts of crimes. Instead, what I see are rapes, murders, robberies, burglaries, car-jackings, and other violent crimes committed predominantly by blacks, totally out of proportion to the number of blacks in our population! Maybe John Sugg could do another "objective" article on black supremacy and the war that's being waged on all of us by them. Maybe he could also expound on why a "minority" race commits the vast majority of crimes and why the prison population is over 80 percent black. Or maybe that's not "politically correct" to write about.

Never again: Because this article ("Inside the World of White Supremacy," Nov. 1) was printed in creative loafing. I will never read this paper again in my life and it will be removed from the local shops here. I don't need to be reminded of something I'm already aware of. You seriously could not find anything else to write about. Its almost seems that creative loafing is supporting this cause

A slow news day?: Was it a slow news day or was this ("Razor Girl," Oct. 25) an obscure metaphor for the inadequacy and ineptitude of the local CharMeck government and how the "society women" and men overlook these shortcomings, because they invariably benefit those afore-mentioned society women and men?

What a waste: Your article ("The Ghost Hunt," Oct. 25) states that these people are in law enforcement, but will not give their names. If you are ashamed of what you are do so much so you cannot give your names then should you really be doing it? Another perfect example of how my tax dollars are being wasted by goverment employees ghost hunting.
