Crime has been an issue in Charlotte for years, but never has it gotten so much attention. Not until those damned criminals stopped ripping off people in North, West and East Charlotte and headed into Dilworth did Charlotte’s upstanding citizens start to give a damn about crime. But are the rest of us supposed to feel sorry for the Dilworth folk because they’re now getting a taste of property crimes that have been happening in other places around the city for years? Where was their outrage when lawless thieves were plundering other areas? They certainly weren’t marching to city hall and trying to raise the taxes on everyone else for extra patrols then.
