Without even knowing it, Mavado enhanced my life forever. The Jamaican dancehall superstar, who has done songs with hip-hop stars like Rick Ross, French Montana and Snoop Dogg, crept into my forever rotation with 2009’s “So Special.” Fresh hair cut? Play “So Special.” New outfit? “So Special.” But the best scenario to really feel “So Special” is drunk in the basement of a Caribbean club with a Red Stripe in one hand and the twerk of a lifetime happening in front of you.
