Where were you back in 1980 when hip-hop's first mainstream star Kurtis Blow released the classic, "The Breaks"? More than likely, you probably weren't even born yet. But it's still all-good because you can still say "I remember when I saw Kurtis Blow live in Charlotte back in 2006." That's right the forefather of rap is coming here, joined with reggae legend Papa San, Christopher "Play Martin of Kid N Play, Lecrae, Pettidee, Urban D, DJ Morphizz, Soul P., Lyricist, Eddie Velez and more. The Inspiration Network is taping an episode of its original cable TV series, "Mixx Master's Lounge," featuring the stars at its MediaComm teleproduction facility located at 9700 Southern Pines Blvd. Admission is free, but reservations are required.
